SoftDV is an optional software component that may be installed on a Velocity or VelocityQ system and then used to capture DV video to a DPS video file using a standard OCHI compliant IEEE 1394 port (also known as a Firewire port). It incorporates the MainConcept DV codec.

In general, SoftDV performance is very dependant on the deck/camera and the specific computer system you are using. Please note the following requirements and restrictions.
